BlueView Launches Dual Frequency Sonar System; BlueView’s DF900-2250 combines 900 kHz and 2.25 MHz multibeam imaging sonar

Seattle, WA -- June 11 -- BlueView Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of miniature multibeam imaging sonar, has introduced a new dual frequency version of its proven acoustic Underwater Vision® systems. The DF900-2250 sonar system combines the power of BlueView’s medium range P900 navigation and inspection sonar with its 2.25 MHz high frequency identification sonar, all in one compact package. With the ability to quickly switch between the medium and ultra-high resolution sonar heads, the DF900-2250 offers a wide range of capabilities including target detection, homing and target identification, even in zero visibility conditions.

While the imaging capabilities alone make the DF900-2250 a versatile tool, it is the small size that puts it in a class of its own. The performance of BlueView’s revolutionary technology is unrivaled in such a compact low power system and has resulted in many new applications where multibeam sonar of the past has been too large or power hungry to be considered. These applications include small ROVs, Diver Hand Held Units and Man Deployable UUVs.

The specifications for this system were driven by the need for Navy and Oil and Gas customers to navigate to and identify targets in zero visibility conditions. The DF series is compatible with other BlueView commercial sonar making integration and operation nearly seamless for existing customers.
