CarZoom.com
Ver2.0, consumer-focused
automotive search engine launches in partnership with
CBS affiliate WROC TV and Fox affiliate WUHF FOX 31
CarZoom.com provides consumers with
the most
extensive access to real time, new and used car prices ever introduced.
It
serves as a one-stop shop that furnishes users with a single source
through
which they can view and compare listings in every viable online
marketplace. Consumers
simply need to enter their zip code
and the new or used make and model of their choice. The search will
yield
instant access to availability and pricing without having to search
through
multiple web sites. Within
seconds,
countless search results with real-time prices appear in a simple,
easy-to-scroll list. The
Carzoom site is
free for consumers to use. Dealers Each listing provides the consumer
with all
of the available information on each vehicle, along with a direct link
to the
selling dealer. This direct link benefits dealers by delivering well
targeted
leads for their inventory, and consumers by providing the trusted
contacts that
they need to shop with confidence. “We are very excited about our new
partnership with
WROC TV and WUHF Fox Rochester,” says CarZoom VP Director of Marketing,
Bruce
Pilato. “The new
line of marketing
products we have introduced are among the most advanced and strongest
consumer-based tools available to assist buyers in their search for the
right
vehicle.” “We are making a full commitment to
providing the
best online automotive tools for both consumers, and our dealer
partnerships,”
says WROC TV General Manager, Louis Gattozzi. “We see CarZoom as the
automotive
version of popular websites like Google and Priceline, where the
consumer can
get instant information and prices without having to input their
personal
information. The other products are more designed to help dealers
operate more
efficiently in terms of their marketing, and that, in the end, also
saves money
for consumers.” The Rochester-based stations will
act as CarZoom’s
exclusive media partners in that market. With CarZoom.com consumers can
also
post and sell their vehicles using a wide spectrum of online outlets,
such
Craigslist, Google and AOL Autos.com The CarZoom New and Used Car Search
Engine is powered by a new type of
MetaSearch technology developed by Seattle-based firm Viverrae Labs. With this new type of
search engine,
consumers simply enter their zip code and the search returns results
from many websites,
including Craigslist, AutoTrader, Vast, Kajiji, Oodle, Google, AOL
Autos,
AutoFerret and more. This
search saves
the consumer time by searching multiple search engines simultaneously
and
displaying all of the results from those search engines on one page. It also provides the
consumer with a more
comprehensive list of everything for sale in their local area. Viverrae
develops customized applications for broad-scale harvest, analysis, and
distribution of dynamic content on the Internet.
Viverrae’s MetaSearch technology for
automobiles is currently licensed exclusively to Carzoom and
AutoFerret.com. Their
classified listing
engine posts listings across many different classified websites and has
been
used by over 35,000 private sellers and more than 1000 auto dealerships. Jeff Frimmersdorf, a key member of
the original
startup team for eBay Motors who was recruited to join the Carzoom
board and to
oversee product development states: "I
am truly enthusiastic about joining the Carzoom team because I’m
confident that
the search engine and suite of tools which they’re assembling has the
potential
to bring the same sort of unprecedented value to automotive
buyers and
sellers that eBay Motors did when it first emerged and grew to be the
world’s largest
online automotive marketplace." In
the near future, CarZoom will also launch, in association with Viverrae
Labs, a
form of artificial intelligence that carries on two-way dialog with
customers,
leads and prospects over email, text, or chat.
It is being used by businesses and lead providers to
schedule
appointments (sales and service), scrub leads, verify customers'
information,
get additional information, and follow up after the sale. The enhanced
internet
products will also include a set of widgets for Facebook, Twitter,
MySpace and
other social networking platforms that allow consumers to search for
products
and businesses to post their listings on their social networking
profiles; as
well as, a lead generation tool which crawls the Internet for leads. Contact: Bruce
