Favorites on Steroids New Internet Search and Information Organizer

enLighter Retriever 2.0 is Next Generation in Research Technology

TORONTO - August 31, 2004 – enLighter Systems Inc. (formerly N-LITER Inc.). (http://www.enlighter.com) today announced the launch of enLighter Retriever 2.0, the next generation of search technology they describe as ”Favorites on Steriods.” enLighter is the only software that enables people to collect and organize information simply by making colored highlights and notes to Web pages while they surf. Then they can browse their research in convenient libraries offline.

97% of people use the Internet for research, according to a PEW Internet Survey, and many of them “bookmark” a Web site or “add it to favourites” to help keep information organized. However, Web content providers change their sites daily, and bookmarks do not save the information that was important to the researcher. As a result, research is lost forever.

“We got tired of waiting for Microsoft to build technology to capture and store information from the Web, so we built it ourselves,” noted Bernardo Sanchez, president of enLighter. “Now people can save information as easily as making highlights to a page, and browse their research anytime they want!”

Response from educators and researchers to Retriever 2.0 has been enthusiastic. “Teachers and students are buying our software faster than we can make it,” commented Sanchez. “Adding colored notes and highlights to pages helps users find information faster, saving hours of search time that bookmarking alone cannot accomplish.”

Improvements in enLighter Retriever 2.0:

New Document Manager: enables users to browse the information they have collected.

Improved Highlighting: New ‘sticky button’ feature makes it easier to highlight pages.

Snapshot categories: Organize and index Web pages to specific categories in Retriever’s offline library in one snap…and much more!

Pricing & Availability

enLighter Retriever 2.0 is available at an introductory price of US$14.95 at www.enLighter.com and shareware sites (www.tucows.com, www.download.com, etc.). A 30-day Free Trial is also available. Evaluation copies of enLighter Retriever 2.0 are available for the press.
